CBCT Scanner
CBCT scanners (cone beam computed tomography) allow us to create a full, detailed picture of the mouth, teeth, jaw, neck, throat, and head. The imaging includes both hard and soft tissues. We can use the scans for diagnostic analysis and for treatment planning. The scanner rotates around a patient’s head without touching them.
Intraoral Scanner
Using an intraoral scanner, we can create detailed images of the inside of the mouth. These images allow us to better diagnose issues and plan for treatments. The scanner is a small wand that is waved around inside the mouth, capturing hundreds of images. These images are sent to software that amalgamates them into a single 3D image that can be moved and rotated.
iTero Scanner
The iTero scanner is an intraoral scanner most often used to plan restorative and orthodontic treatments. The technology uses both laser and optical scanning, providing highly detailed images that allow our dental team to be precise in planning treatments.
