Dr. Shelina Harji
General Dentist
Dr. Harji, General Dentist, attained her dentistry degree at the University of Manitoba and specializes in restorative dentistry techniques such as crowns/bridges. Dr. Harji enjoys giving back to the community through volunteer work.
Dr. Matias Grimminck
Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics
Dr. Matias Grimminck obtained his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Chile and practiced as a general dentist for seven years before he embarked on a postgraduate orthodontic program in Argentina.
After immigrating to Canada, he completed the Canadian NDEB Equivalency Process to become a licensed practitioner in 2012. He worked as a general dentist, providing dental care to the underprivileged population in the Downtown East-side. Dr. Matias completed the Orthodontic Specialty program at UBC in 2019, receiving a Master of Science degree and becoming a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics.
As a former Clinical Assistant Professor at the UBC Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Matias mentored and evaluated undergraduate and graduate students in the General Practitioner Program. He has also delivered lectures to graduate Orthodontic and Pediatric Dentistry Programs in Chile and Argentina.
Dr. Matias is an active member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontics, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an honor granted to specialists who voluntarily write and pass a series of comprehensive examinations that represent a personal and public commitment to the standard of practice and lifelong learning.
Dr. Matias is trained in orthodontic technologies and has robust knowledge in recommending orthodontic treatment that is well-suited to his patient’s needs, including improving facial appearance, self-esteem, and overall oral health.
In his spare time, Dr. Matias enjoys long walks, hiking, biking, and spending time connecting with nature throughout the Pacific Coast.
Dr. Ricky Han
General Dentist
Meet Dr.Ricky Han, a proud graduate of the University of Manitoba, whose passion for dentistry was sparked by childhood memories of a dentist who prioritized both oral health and pleasant patient experience. With a commitment to personalized care, Dr.Han brings a fresh perspective to dentistry, offering expertise in preventive care, restorative procedures, cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy,extractions and implants.
His dedication to crafting individualized treatment plans, staying abreast of the latest advancements, and ensuring a positive experience sets his practice apart. Dr.Han finds fulfillment in witnessing the positive impact on patients’ lives as they regain oral health and confidence through his tailored treatments.
